Gemütlich, originating from the word Gemütlichkeit, means pleasant and cheerful. German beer gardens are meant to bring the community together and enjoy one another's company. The interior concept to have a very open and inviting seating arrangement to draw people in and give them a sense of belonging. To make the interior space feel like you are outside, the columns will be covered as trees and the food stand disguised as a food truck. Color scheme will be warm with oranges, reds, greens, and yellows to add a traditional German feel. 

This retail project was an intensive three week project in collaboration with Callison in Dallas, TX.
