Lighting Design - Airport Lounge
When travelling, most people turn to unhealthy habits. Fast food, being stressed, going off a normal sleep schedule, etc. The lighting of LKL is going to mimic natural daylight and change with according to the time of day to reflect how it would feel outdoors. LKL, standing for “Lord Kelvin Lounge” will incorporate the use of Kelvin changing lights to accurately mimic natural lighting. Often times airports simply have bright white light that can throw off the human bodies natural circadian rhythm. In healthcare environments, patients with daylight in their rooms are released faster than those without. Therefore, the use of kelvin changing lights could possibly reduce the stress of travelling just by a bit, which could be huge to several customers.
